Differential seals
Hi,
I am thinking of renewing my seals on the differential.
Which species do I need? Was thinking of 1pc. SKF 21955 and 2pcs. SKF 13569. Is this correct? For Corvette 1976 ratio 3.08 automatic.

Hello Claudio,
I'm not sure what source you found for the differential seals.
I looked at Bair's Corvette and found this :
5500SK Seal Kit.
It could be the source and numbers you list will be fine too.

The seals are the same for 63-79. You can find SKF/CR from many places along with other brands. Cost about $25 for the 3. Installing them requires removing the diff from the car.

I kept going through cheapo's (Centrics) - a set every race. They would inevitably have play in them by the end of the race.
Installed timkens and 4 races later, they're still brand new. I vote timkens.
