Default First time installing nitrous. Need a little guidance.

I just need to know how the hard line connections work. Below is how it looks like how it should go together but it doesn't look like the nut on the hard line would crush the ferrule to secure the line on the fitting. I didn't want to start cranking them down if this isn't right. There are no pics in the instructions to help me.

The instructions say to use the blue fittings but there were no blue fittings in the kit and thought maybe I'm missing parts. It's a Nitrous Express dual plate system.

Those look like flare fittings, you need to flare the tubing and the sleeves will support the flare.

I'm not 100% sure as I cannot see the sleeves very good,

You need to slide the ferrel and nut on the tube up a good ways past the end, flare the end of tube and then slide the ferrel and nut back down to the flare.... do this before you bend the line to fit. Also be aware that those fittings are 37* JIC and not the more common 45* SAE.

I was thinking that also as the inside of the ferrule is concave as to compress a flared tube. I'm just hesitant because the instructions don't mention having to flare the tubing.

I'm not familiar with those terms. What does that mean and what do I need to be aware of?

Those lines need to be flared for the "AN" fittings. If you send me an e-mail request for my "Fuel Line" paper, it has photos and descriptions on how to do the AN flared connections, along with description of the tools required to do the work.

Got it plumbed in today. Is there any reason why the solenoids can't be upside down? It was easiest way to make them fit under the hood.

Solenoids will be just fine upside down. I would recommend a bracket to mount the solenoids rather than hanging them from the hard line.

Keep a close eye on the plugs when tuning! The distribution of the plates on the tunnel ram may be a bit strange.
