Default ‘82 temperature control cable

Good morning, looking for some guidance on routing and securing the temperature control cable for the ‘82. PO had removed the old cable now I’m trying to reinstall it. Not sure if 1) the cable is routed up through the small gauge console or around the floorboard under the carpet and 2) if it is screw/bolt mounted on top of firewall air box before the switch it controls. If anyone has photos detailing the pass side of the console and beneath the dash and willing to share I would appreciate it.

I first tried screwing the cable to the bracket mount under the dash, but the control switch would not go full hot which leads me to believe I have it wrong.

Thanks!
Chris

Hi Cris,
From the AIM page the routing seems straight forward and the adjustment procedure is also given.
Does this help or have you already looked at the sheet in the AIM?
Regards,
Alan

Note carefully the cable routing shown in View B.

Thanks Alan. I had viewed the AIM, but wanted to be sure. View A does not show connection of the cable to the bracket. Maybe I’ll bolt it and follow adjustment procedure.
