Default Pypes Exhaust Question

I'm installing the Pypes exhaust kit on my '81. It seems that the right hand side mid pipe is incorrect. The R and L pipes seem to be identical. I've swapped them around and get the same result.

Has anyone bought a Pypes kit and got a wrong pipe in the box?

I'm in touch with Pypes at this time trying to resolve the problem.

I have the Pypes on my '71. I bought it knowing it wouldn't fit and it didn't Had to make several cuts and weld them back together. In the end it fit great but it certainly took many hours to get there. I got the Pypes because even with the work required to make it fit, the cost was less than buying an X-pipe and straight pipe & bends and make one from scratch.

Since the engine in a C3 is offset to the right by an inch or so, the exhaust pipes SHOULD be different.....not the same.

I'm really surprised that the kit fits as well as it does. I've read the posts about the system not fitting well. If it wasn't for missing the correct pipe I would be ready for the muffler shop today.

I didn't have issues at the crossmember. I have a Bow Tie Overdrive tubular crossmember. The instructions stated that I needed the old style crossmember. I purchased one thinking that I would need it. So I found enough hanger mounting points to disregard the front transmission mounted hanger used on the earlier crossmember.

I called Pypes and received good customer service. They are shipping out a new pipe. The pipe in the kit was obviously incorrect. A duplicate of the left exhaust pipe was sent.

I used a pypes system on my Camaro...
Never did get it to fit quite right. Ended up using their X pipe and mufflers, but had to have an exhaust shop fab up the rest. Their fitment quality is suspect at best....

When I purchased a PYPES X-pipe system 2 of the pipes were bent wrong. They sent out replacements no charge and all is well. T

Well I received my new pipe yesterday. The right side had to be modified to fit. The left side and right side fit nothing the same. Took a test drive and the f'kn thing scrapes on bumps. Headed to the muffler shop. Monday.

I AM ABOUT TO WRITE A NEW THREAD ABOUT HOW MUCH I HAD TO DO TO MAKE THE PYPES SYSTEM FIT.
