In my opinion you do not need a stud girdle. You are running a hyd. Roller cam that will be setup with seat loads in the 150 lb range and open pressures around 400 lbs. With 7/16 studs you will be fine. My rule of thumb is you don't need a stud girdle until you go with a solid roller cam that has seat pressures in the 250 plus range and open pressures above 600 lbs.
on a big block the stud girdle will change the lash once you tighten it down but it is usually only a few thousands. On a hyd roller small block the girdle may cause a lash change but since you set a preload on the lifter I doubt you will notice the change.
If the girdle is moving lash around when tightening.....there's something off with the girdle or the adjustment process. Never had an issue. The one I used for years on my engines was an ancient Moroso one bar one. Worked fine. Newer multi-piece ones shouldn't move anything either.
