NO...the hood latches are completely different.
On the passenger side of the later deign hood latches....the mechanism is bolted to the cowl/plenum so cable will work.
On your hood..the mechanism is on the hood...so a cable is not going to work. BUT...there is a round plastic plug in your cowl that allows it to be removed so a rod can be used to release the hood.
A cable will be able to be used on the left side if needed...but it also has a plastic plug also.
