Default Can't decide engine

Do you guys have any good engines i can put in my stingray 1968? I was thinking this https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...illocation=int a 350 with 325hp. Does anyone know how much it will cost to get the complete engine? This is only in stage one. When i say "complete", i mean everything. Like waterpump, intake/exhaust and dynamo.

Thanks for any answer!

I got mine from Smeding Performance and they were willing to ship to Europe what was the important part for me (Blueprint and ATK just ignored my emails).
They have crates starting at just around 4k here:

I think by dynamo you mean alternator.

Keep in mind that you will have to pay for shipping and customs. Something to consider is to buy the engine from Canada instead of the US, you might be saving a lot of money thanks to CETA.

That was why my first question. We in the US for the most part have no idea cost and options-or lack thereof- for buying in or shipping to Europe.

Does it have an engine currently? Salvageable? Rebuilding that which is already paid for and in your garage may well be the best way to go.

I would look at this. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/n...3157/overview/
It is basically the old ZZ4 engine. I put a zz4 in my 71 back in 2002 or so.

I haven't really looked into it. It's my dads car. He said it is something wrong with the valves. Do you know if valve problems are hard to fix in general?

The engine i have is a 350 from 1969.

Any machine shop can do headwork.
If I was in another country there is NO way Id chance it on some rebuilt crate. Cheaper they are usually the crappier they are think about it.
Stay away from Ebay 'Specials" with big claims and low price tags
Get the new GM one thats complete. Everything is matched to work...its a little more but you get some peace of mind.

I woudln't buy a new engine from ebay. The only thing i would buy from ebay is probably some rechargeable batteries, nothing else. But thanks for the advise . I was wondering if i should buy this engine https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...291p/overview/ can i use some old parts from 1969 on this? Like intake manifold and ignition? It would save me a lot of money.

Thanks for answer

Shold bolt up. Its a low compression stock rebuild with a small flat tappet cam & heads. If youre not worried about tons of power it could be a contender, probably make a little more than you have now. Simlar to an L82 type cam I Suppose its been around a long time
Think the owner is a member here pretty sure he lurks. (brandon)

Get your heads done and put rings and bearings in your shortblock. 2300 for an engine is plus shipping. Shipping in the US is usually 200 bucks. That is probably that car's original engine. Could be forged crank and pistons. Get the numbers off the pad in front of the right head. Post a pic of they can be made readable.
