The headlights, tail light, side marker light, and dash lights in my 76 won't turn on when I pull the headlight switch. Doesn't look like any of the fuses are blown, could it be that the headlight switch is bad?
It could be, but no one can say for sure without doing some diagnostic work. You should test to see if there is power getting to the switch, and then you can test the wires from the switch to the lights to see if power is getting through the switch when it is turned on. Start by getting a copy of the wiring diagram so you can figure out how the circuit is supposed to work.

The headlights get a seperate power supply than everything else so its probably the switch.
But, I just had a similar problem with my dash, tail and marker lights only. The meter showed power but it didnt support any amps. Use a test light as well and it will be better information. I ended up with a dead wire to the switch. To test I ran jumpers from the headlight hot wire to the dash lights and the marker lights one at a time and they all worked. I added a fuse tap on the load side and ran a wire from the fuse to the switch. the fuse is still inline but its still A temporary fix until I can pull the fuse panel and rewire it.
