69 window wont move
drivers side window in my 69 just stopped moving- manual crank window. it got hard to move, i tried to force it and boom, broke.
my first thought was broke the handle. put new handle on- no change
ok so I search, see a common problem is the splined shaft piece the handle actually slides onto breaks, tried that and nothing.
I have the door panel off, If I remove the 3 bolts that hold the regulator shaft in, I can see the small cup the shaft engages. I can freely spin that cup and the window makes no attempt to moves.
so what do I do next? I'm guessing I need to get the regulator out of the door?

This is not going to be easy by a long shot due to the window NOT being able to be moved.
It all depends on what window you have in your car now. It can be the 1968 design or the later design used in 1969's
Need to know what window glass you have in it..

trim tag is March 20

is there any easy way to tell by looking at the window/door?

YES...Look at the rear of the door glass where it attaches and runs up and down on the rear vertical window track.
IS the roller that is in your rear VERTICAL track ... at the window stop at the top.. Is it also attached to a HORIZONTAL track that is attached to the door glass with a nut.. OR....
Is the roller in the rear track also attached to a very short track that is bolted to the glass at an angle?
IF you have the short track that is bolted to the door glass at an angle at the rear...it is the EARLY design.
