so I’ve been tinkering with my turn signals with no luck for months now . I’ve replaced all the fuses in the car , all the turn signal / brake light bulbs and the turn signal switch and even the flashers . So what happens is when ever I turn the switch to one side(left for example ) , the left front signals work as they are supposed to but the tail lights both flash . Like hazards but just on the rear . And then when I press the brake down they stop flashing all together . The brake lights work as they are supposed to but the turn signals drive me crazy . I’ve tried everything I can , even grounding out the tail lights didn’t work . What do I do ? I have a 1974 corvette

Are you sure you have the correct bulbs? Do they have 2 filaments so it is basically 2 bulbs in one.
switch the tail light and front blinker bulb if the issue moves from rear to front then its the bulbs, otherwise its probably the column switch cross contacting as you have looked at the other possibilities.
iirc correctly the same bulb is used front and back, but im fuzzy on that.

He said he replaced the turn signal switch I assumed that meant the one in the column. Plus since he said the front signals work I think that would eliminate the switch as the issue. Maybe Willcox will see this thread and have some troubleshooting steps to pin point where the problem is. My bet is the problem is actually with the hazard switch. Does anyone know if the turn signal wiring goes through the hazard switch? Is there a way to bypass the hazard switch? If the turn signal wiiring does not go through the switch maybe it could simply be disconnected to troubleshoot a faulty hazard switch.

The turn signals and 4-way flashers work independently in the same switch.
You can eliminate the 4-ways by removing the STOP HAZ fuse.
H2,
How did you test the rear lights for a good ground?
Like this?
It looks to me that the rear tail lights are shorted to the stop switch ,they both go thru the column switch.Look on the wiring diagram and check out the wires at the column connector .
