Good performing street tires
Is there a preference for tires in 315 35 17? I’d like something that has good traction and isn’t completely useless in wet weather. I looked at the Mickey Thompson Street comp but the reviews say it’s too hard and does not hook up.
The other tire I thought might work for me is the Nitto nt555. Seems like it’s a good all around street tire.
Any input would help, thanks!

You sure you want a 25.7" tire when stockish is 27"
Anyway in that size I used a Sumitomo HTR Z on the back of a C5 and loved them.

the few cars that I saw which have the l88 flares were running 315 35 17 all around or 315 35 17 rears and 275 40 17 fronts.

2024 C3 of the Year Finalist- Modified
I used 315s for many years on 11 inch wide wheels. The F1s seemed to ware out really fast like every year and I am parked 4 to 5 months
with our limited 17 choices the nitto 555 is the best

that looks like a really nice tire but I would like a tire that is still somewhat reliable in the rain.

I am leaning towards the Nitto 555 as well. My car will be parked for most of the year as well, probably insured 5 months out of the year due to weather.

the engine is being rebuilt, we are hoping to get 400-425 hp out of the build. Replacing the heads, cam, carb, intake and torque converter.
