Restore completely or not
Want to sell my 1970 coupe 350/300 4 speed a/c. How much do I need to keep it completely original. Going to paint it . Has 78k on it . Have done a great valve job on it . Numbers matching everything . No rust. Looking to get 18 to 22k.

what are you asking? how much to spend on it before you sell it? get it running and stopping. wash it. everything past that is money you will not recoup at sale time. glaringly horrible things like destroyed fender or no rugs might be worth addressing. AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT PAYING SHOP LABOR!!! Oh, make the AC work...

Unless the present paint job is just total cr@p, clean it up/polish it as best you can an sell it as-is. Folks who might be interested in you car MAY want the paint color you would choose....or they may NOT. Let them decide on the color after they buy the car. If you want to be 'creative', tell prospective buyers what the price is as-is and also what it would be for you to paint it any color of their choice. Maybe that would be a selling point for some buyers.
