Back up Lights 68 Sidepipe car
Previous owner replaced rear valance to eliminate exhaust cut outs when the side pipes were installed. The backup lights were also eliminated.. I thinking about reinstalling the 68 type back up lights in the rear valance but started to think about going with 69 style back up lights. Anyone do this? Originality is not that critical for this vehicle. thanks

Yes I have done it both ways and it all depends on which way you want to go with it.
You can install the socket ends that go into the reverse light housing that go in the rear body panel. And you can put the press molded retainer that get bonded to the backside of the lower exhaust filler panel and put in new lights.
So it depends on what you want to do.
