Dynomax Headers and Gaskets
Will be ordering headers soon for my Dart Iron Eagle 180 heads. Can I get away using the Dynomax gaskets and bolts or should I use Percy's, Earl's, Fel-Pro, Mr. Gasket or others for gaskets. Do the headers have raised bead flanges or flat? Should I go studs or bolts? Stage 8 or others? Please advise which you have had the best luck with at the most economical price. Thanks in advance.

After I installed dynomax headers, I had a leak on my passenger side for a year. Installed copper gaskets to no avail. This weekend, I used high temp sealant with my copper gaskets and stage 8 locking bolts to try and fix the leak.

Those of you that had success, which gaskets and bolts did you use. I know there should be quite a few that have mounted Dynomax headers that do not leak. Please advise. I would like to order this week.

I used Percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets for the headers and Summit aluminum gaskets for the collectors. I also used Stage 8 bolts. Here's a tip, don't put the locks on the Stage 8s for the first month. About once a week after you install them you should retorque the header bolts. If you leave the locks off it's a lot easier to do. It's been about a year now and they are still pretty leak free. I think over the winter I'll take the locks off and give them one more retorque.
