Default Door panel Velcro pad

Clearly, these are not the right Velcro pads for door panels. Once again someone cut corners.

Are the T-top and side trim Velcro lads the same as the door panel ones? Is that what I need to order ?

These things are riveted on !??! That will hold ?

How many are needed per door.

Default door panel

5 pads. The Willcox pads should have instructions.

I added 3 along the bottom to snug up panel. You'll have to cut a slit in the panel to secure it then screw into the bottom side of door. Pretty sure all Corvette vendors sell em.

You REALLY need to be watchful on how the plastic Velcro pads are made. the CRITICAL thing about them is the small ***** on the ends of each plastic pin that makes up the Velcro pad. the spacing of the pins and the size of the small plastic ***** on the end of the pins is what matters so even though some of these Velcro pads look right ...sometimes they are off and will not lock into place as needed.to that of a FACTORY Velcro pad on the door or T-top. Some year models of Corvette T-top Velcro pads are round and not oval.

As you know the ones you showed in the photo are junk and worthless.

IF you plan in replacing them on your door panels you will need to POSSIBLY peel back the vinyl so you can make sure the pop rivet you use to hold the new ones on is actually riveting into a piece of metal backing plate or a large washer so they do not pull out.

Any ideas on where to find the clips are the part name. I searched through Ecklers but no luck

The Corvette Central pads do not mesh with the original pads on the door/panel. You may have to salvage those from the part being removed and transfer them to the new part. Or you can buy more [bogus] fasteners from CC so they will attach.

Probably a good time for a new thread rather than answer a post from 3 years ago.
