81 Wont Start
Two different cars. I'd say the first one was a 78 or 79. Typical hollywood idiots, can't do anything right the first time.

Got the heads back on and finally started up yesterday. There was a coolant leak at the water pump so will have to get back in there and see whats going on. I'm a retired electrical engineer and it was pretty easy to get it apart it was not easy to put back together. The air pump and its associated brackets hoses and connections are not very well designed. Lots of small vacuum lines all over. Poor access around the exhaust manifolds.
Spent an hour in Oreillys trying to get a TVS that goes in the stat housing with large threads and a fan switch with 2 pins and they couldn't find them.
The stunt guy said they used some CGI so they may have had a computer image of a different year for some of the commercial.I think they did do the power slide parking stunt and used the ebrake to assist. the cars in front and back may have been CGI
A little miffed at the stunt guy cause he must have known the head gasket was blown steam cleaned the engine and didn't say anything. Somebody who wouldn't pic your pocket or break in your house has no problem not telling you about an expensive repair needed to a car you are buying. I know most people know nothing about cars but this guy makes his living with them.
After looking into the scour in the #4 cylinder I decided to leave it alone. Its small and not very deep with nothing raised up to affect the ring. I can probably get one of those micro flex cameras in there to look at it later.
Was hoping this could be my retirement hobby but at 63 I don't find it as enjoyable or therapeutic as when I was younger. Getting the wrong parts at the store. Hands are all banged up even with wearing gloves.
