Default '79 sagging on left front

I bought my '79 L82 gymkhana 4-speed car last July, and at some point while standing around admiring my own handiwork on another project, I noticed that it's pretty clearly sagging to the left. I narrowed this down to being low on the front driver side (rather than pushing up from the rear passenger).

I replaced the front coil springs and shocks, to no avail - the car was perfectly level immediately after the spring change, but after settling overnight it was still the same solid 1" or so low on the left front.

I've ordered a new leaf spring for the rear since it was replaced at some point with a 9-leaf anyway, but I got the car fully off the ground, wheels off and took measurements from hub to fender lip - 3 other corners are close to even, but the left front is about 1" closer to the top of the fender opening.

From underneath, the body mount just behind the front wheel appears to be okay and almost certainly not original. I haven't checked the one located just behind it yet.

It also seems as though the front driver wheel is located slightly rearward in relation to the passenger side - there's obvious rubbing of the inner fender from the tire when the wheel is turned fully left, which doesn't happen in either direction on the passenger front. It also appears that the spring on the left side is compressed somewhat compared to the passenger side - the coils are roughly 1" separated vs. roughly 2" separated on the passenger side.

Obviously I'm really hoping that my frame isn't damaged, and I haven't seen any evidence of an accident (though that doesn't mean it hasn't happened). Are there other things I could check that could be causing this? Doing a search for this issue I found some mention of the radiator support and frame extension that can be adjusted, but I didn't quite understand it.

The spring being compressed in that corner is what's throwing me off, but maybe it could narrow down the problem more easily for someone more knowledgeable than I

I worked at a body shop in the early 80's i remember having to put spacers in one side coil spring more than a few times after they did a crash repair , my guess the frame is up on the low side but maybe a fender replacement gone wrong ... someone will come along with ideas

On my car, the lower control arms bushing were toast, which shifted the tire back and allowed it to rub on the inner fender.

Since you had it apart, it may not be the issue... but maybe worth checking into.
