Carter built Q-Jets for GM under license from Rochester, so you can have a Carter Q-Jet and be "correct." However, a 7041200 is not a SB Vette carb - it is a Q-Jet for a 1971 402 or 454 Chevelle with auto trans. It should be jetted with #77 jets, #49 primary rods, and "BG" secondary rods. It will run just fine on your Vette if it's set up to the stock specs.
