Default Headlight issue .....1982

Long story short .... low beams quit working so I assumed my dimmer switch went bad . Installed new switch & all 4 lights come on , doesn't matter if it's on Hi beams or low .
Anyone come across this issue before ...

Sounds like a bad switch. All 4 should be on for high. When you step on dimmer do you hear a click? Use a test light and test for voltage at the switch

Your Hi-Low beam is on the turn signal switch using the lever. make sure you replaced the correct switch and connected it right.

Don't forget to adjust the switch (correct rod and lever adjustment)

^^^THIS^^^ There isn't a floor switch in an 82 for high beams, like mentioned it's in the turn signal lever when pulled back. Low beams come on with headlight switch pulled on dash.

Do you have cruise control on your turn signal lever? If you do, where did you get the 82 replacement?
