Hi, I have a 79 L82 3.70 Stick car that is very solid but has "Clapped Out" Trailing Arms. I also bought a 71 Chassis with lots of aftermarket stuff & want to use the offset trailing arms on my 79, how do I determine how many shims? Just try to center it or???? I have never done this but it seems simple. Thanks!

I suppose you could install the same shims that came out of the arm but the best way is to take your shims and car to an alignment shop and have them check the correct shims required.
When I installed my offset T-arms I just used the shims and centered them in the pockets. Then the alignment shop did the rest. Get stainless steel shims to avoid them rusting in a few years.

Thank You, That is what I figured. Already have the SS Shims. Thanks, Tim
