I haven't seen something like that since the early 70s, it was all the rage back then.

Closing the loop on this one.
I lifted the car and got ready to wrench those twist in wedges with a 1/2 in drive and bar. No need. They were just sitting there. I didn’t need any tools to remove them. This leads me to believe that there probably were some on the passenger side.

That made it easy...hopefully you car is still level now. I have to admit I tried using those things in the past to try to lift my Jeep. Did not do much and eventually ended up just replacing the springs.

Hm. Learn something every day. It’s hard to tell if the car is level especially as the engine is out. It does look so. And I don’t think it ever had A/C

I really hate Bubba! If you all never hear from me again it’s not because I decided to leave. It will be because I found Bubba and am serving 10 to 15 for manslaughter.

lol. Thanks, but I’m pretty sure if I show the judge pics of how he installed the FiTech fuel injection by zip tying the fuel line to the upper control arm and mounting the fuel pump 3 inches above the muffler, or how he ran the spark plug wires UNDER the headers and then tried to fix the melted parts with electrical tape, I’m pretty sure I can plead temporary insanity.
