Default 81 cel

I’ve done a few things to my 81 and now the CEL is on and was wondering the best way to get it off?
i live in north Texas and we don’t require and smog testing or anything like that.
The catalytic converter has already been removed, some smog stuff removed, a new HEI distributor installed, and Lars is rebuilding me a replacement carb right now.
I just want to get rid of the light, and wondered what’s the easiest way

If you're still running the computer, have you checked it for an error code?

I was told when I swapped out the distributor that the light would come on. And it did.
I just need to know how to get the light off

Reach up behind the dash and pull the bulb? It is in a 1/4 turn twist-lock socket that will come out completely (no wires). Easy to replace, too.

Do you have to take the gauge cluster out to get to the bulb?

Not in my car, but I don't have a radio or an HVAC system. Look for a picture so you know what to feel for. The dash bulb sockets are the same, and you can get to some of those.

If the CAT and CCC system components have been removed, there is no need from the CEL to work. Remove the bulb, as mentioned.

Screw the bulb. Remove the computer. Right by battery.

Simply unplug it and remove it. On the off chance you ever want to go back and reinstall, all you have to do is plug it back in.

Hahahaha!!!
i got an email from Lars and he is about to send my carb back to me, so once I get it on I’ll remove the computer and the rest of the smog stuff.
Im hoping by removing the computer it’ll turn the light off.
