The supercharger gets hot, does it not? Won't it blister the hood paint with no insulation between them? I'm thinking you need to glass a 'dome' into the hood and insulate under it.

The "window" idea is clever; but what do folks see when they peer into it? If you go that route, make a bigger window that will display the whole unit. Then you can use tempered glass that can take the heat.

A rear facing scoop would provide an escape for heat from the supercharger, block the rain while driving and possibly help reduce under hood lift.

If paint blisters above the snail then do a bigger hole and scoop. Where is air intake? Looks like you could turn it upwards to use cold air thru the hood with an extension of that hole.

mine are filled in also... It looks like you would certainly gain the clearance you need. I know it gives me an extra 2 inches where the airfilter on my car rests. I thought I read somewhere that the hood was designed to support a supercharger.. mute point no I guess but if the thought arises its an option.

That looks pretty damn good , but my two are completely gone. Love the colour and the hood fit as well.

Yup! It's growing on me, I don't hate it that's for sure. Besides if that's the focus of the car vs the rest of the build, then I'm talking to the wrong person.

Thanks for the offer!!

Oh it's full summer in NY, I'm fortunate to have a few toys. Lots of trial and error, I haven't found a single build like mine, the few C3s SC are carb, not running a serp setup, and don't have AC, not to mention all my other mods.... should be on the road next month. So I'll have some fun with it soon!

How about some type of screened vent right there and in the same spot on the other side of the hood.
They would also help vent some of the heat and pressure from under the hood.
