Intermittent starting problem
Every once in a while the car will not start. It has power, accessories work, head lights come on all seems fine just no power to the starter. This is a 79 auto. If I move the shifter from park to 1st a few times it will then start right up.
i am assuming it is the neutral safety switch. Does this sound like an alignment issue or a bad switch?

Sounds like the safety switch needs adjustment. Next time go straight to neutral. If it starts you just need to adjust the switch
