I have the ridetech rear suspension setup on my 78. It gave the car markedly better handling and comfort on the freeway. That said, my trailing arm bushing were shot so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison.
I very much appreciate the ease of adjustment and the fact that I can drop the diff without dropping the crossmember should the need arise.
I don't have Ridetech suspension, but I do have their shocks and rate them very highly - just as well as they weren't cheap! Shocks are one of the biggest improvements in ride and handling you can make if the rest of your suspension is in good condition. I am sure that their complete setup works great, but I'd be surprised if it worked a lot better than my modified stock setup with their shocks.

360# IIRC
Yes
I'm running 18s with a 285mm tire. The wheels are 18x9.5 with a 5.5" backspacing. The frame is the closest point of contact on my car. I don't believe the T/A even comes close.
I installed the full Ridetech kit with the Bourgenson steering box, support bracket, and a spreader bar and I am running 18 inch wheels. I have a few hundred miles on the combo and have no complaints. I think the coilovers came with 575 lb/in springs and the ride is firm but not punishing. It is comparable to my girlfriends 2018 Mustang GT. I love that there is no noticeable bump steer no matter what the road conditions are. My previous toy was a 69 Mustang with old school suspension mods and it would wear you out just trying to keep it in the lane on roads that were less than perfect. I never drove my Corvette before all the work so I can't give a comparison, just a one sided review in favor of the Ridetech kit.

I have Ridetech suspension under my 70 model, I will tell you IMO there is no comparison between the stock suspension and the ridetech setup.
I managed a 12 second gain at Winton Victory with just the suspension upgrade.
If there is a problem with ridetech, Its trying to buy replacement parts, like trailing arms .
I wanted to upgrade to a spherical bearing front mount trailing arm design, and it was really just to hard.
Having said that the car handles very well , I'm very pleased with their product.

Was your stock suspension like new or wore out? Did you have good shocks? Same tires?
My suspension was all Van steel with Borgeson Delphi 600 steering box. and wildwood 14" brakes all round.
I thought the car handles reasonable but still had issues I could not solve .
I decided to change is all out
I like the Ridetech system.
The problem I have with the Ridetech product is buying replacement parts , its a night mare.
the other problem is you need to make you own brake set up. that is, if you want the car to stop well. I now run C6 ZR1 brakes.
If you have 650 to 750 Lb/ft at the engine the Ridetech system is far more predicable that the other systems I have installed .

I just bought complete ridetech suspension and it was nightmare to get it. After months of trying, I ordered it from Summit. After I installed it, I tried to ask wheel specks for stock body 64 ( same as ridetech has as an test car ) again, no answers to any emails etc.
Great product, high quality, good instructions, but lousy customer service.
