Default cruise control vacuum help

I finally got all the pieces to put cruise control back in my '80. None of the cruise control elements where present when I bought it except the steering column switch and the hose, switch and wiring harness under the dash). Maybe someone can look at their working system and tell me the following: 1. Where does the hose from the brake vacuum switch under the steering column go after it enters the engine compartment? 2. Where does the hose from the carb control servo go? 3. Where does the vacuum supply from the manifold go? If I'm asking the wrong questions, please, square me away. In spite of the numerous postings stating that the C3 cruise control systems basically don't work all that well, it's a matter of pride to at least get it somewhat functional!
Thanks in advance

is the cc on a 79 like an 80? if so, i'll describe what my cc on my 79 looks like. i have a short speedo cable running to a little metal box(forgot the name of this, but it was a rebuild from corvette central, about 5 yrs old now),this box is mounted on the firewall, drivers side, next to the front fenderwell, and from there a long speedo cable going to the tranny. okay, in front of the metal box, i have a nylon 4-way tee, 2 hoses go to the little metal box, one hose goes thru the firewall( assuming to the brake pedal assbly), along with this hose 2 wires(white & brown) go from little metal box thru firewall to brake assbly. the fourth tee goes to the tranducer(i think that't the name) mounted behind the carb off to the drivers side,it's hooked to the throttle linkage.
i hope this helps, if your speedometer needle jumps around and does crazy swings it's because the little metal box is toast, this also plays havoc with the cable going to the tranny, which then makes your tranny leak around the cable hook-up. BTW, since i fixed my cc years ago,it works fine, it's not sophisticated like todays cc, but it's simple: go to speed, push button, set, hit the brake pedal, it's off.

This is what the setup looks like for a '77. I believe that the layout is the same although the servo was unique for 77. I believe the vacumm routing is the same. They use the same transducer. Hope this helps. I am in the process of putting cruise on my car as well.

Thanks Gary. I'm pretty sure the 79 and 80 are the same. If I understand you correctly: 1. The vacuum supply from the manifold goes into the adjustable nipple on the fender side of the transducer. 2. The hose from the brake switch and the hose from the servo just plugs into the two nipples on the front of the transducer via a 4 way fitting?

Binnie, thanks for the help but...The pictures didn't post. I'm going to try putting it together like in the above post and see what happens. I suppose the worst thing that could happen would be that I still won't have cruise control.
