Is there supposed to be a spring that connects to the hole just below the rod that connects from the pedal to the cross bar lever to the steering shaft clamp on the firewall?
I assembled the cross bar to the clutch fork to the pedal rod. I adjusted the rod pin to the lever for 1" play. It seems there is no spring tension to keep the pedal up so the fork would be held off the fingers of the pressure plate.
Am I missing something?
My 69 has a spring that runs from the upper z-bar to the firewall, and a second spring that runs from the throwout fork to the lower arm on the z-bar. I think there is also one under the dash..
