Speed as good or better than before for me.
The issue I had for the last five days - was that it would not
let me into the entire site, from home. I thought it was because
of the firewall/router. I could get CF at work, but I've been too
busy to post.

Well, tonight my persistance paid off. I'm back - from home,
where I just finished breaking the front clip from the firewall of the 75 -
pictures soon.

the speed and screen size are both fine for me.

Still can't get to the home pages, and linking to photo's out side the web does not work, which is going to fill even more home page space, if they ever get it working ......

Yeah, I must be getten' old! And there's and old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I'm still working thru some of the site problems accessing thru 3 different PC's. I sometimes still get the old format, the font sizes keep switching and it is slow.(dial-up)

Bamavettes: My site works, but it pulls up the site from 2-3 weeks ago(afterwhich I made changes :cry ) my guestbook is now empty and I'm unable to edit the site/pics. :cry

How come the posts don't change color after I've looked at them. It's hard to remenber what I've read and haven't now with the new system.

I like the new set up. It wasn't much fun the first few days but now It has burned in and going good. The Cable modem is plenty fast, but if I was on a dial up I would be upset.

Sorry to have to say this, but IMO, you need go back to the old setup fast as possible...hope you all didn't screw the pooch on that possiblility....
the site is MUCH slower now...(dial up)...and doesn't function near as smoothly as the old one....and the worst fault of the old site was that occational horizontal scroll bar because there is no width limit...and that was NOT corrected on this new site far as I can tell.....

Sorry man, just don't see all the angst over this new thing, not worth it....

5+ days, it's a flop....

There are always going to be glitches and bugs until you work them out. No matter how many Hours, Days or Months you allow for "Beta" testing, It is not the same as real world testing. :cry

So just hang in there, and things will get better. Being in an IS Department, I have insight in this matter.

I like the new look! I had some speed problems the for day or 2, but now things are very quick. Troy and crew will get the bugs worked out shortly, just be patient and remember this is a free site.
