Default Slipping at first start!
My clutch slips and chatters early in the morning after a nights rest. It is original to the car! (77) What might it be?

Oil on the disc can cause it to slip and chatter.

78000 miles on clutch. Drive it gingerly!

At 78K miles, it's time for a new clutch. Consider replacing the rear main seal on the engine while you are at it. Check the starter wheel on the flywheel and replace if suspect. Jerry
