Has anyone had issues with the cap on the master cylinder leaking? I only fill it to about 3/8" from the top of the back rim of each reservoir, yet it seems like fluid is being pushed out the top. Do those rubber seals, or bladders, or whatever you call them wear out? Or, is it possible that the top of the cap is worn from pulling the clamps on and off that there isn't enough down force to seal it?
The chrome ones leaked for me, but the gasket worked. I used the stock cap with the newer gasket, and it works for me. If you can, try to find non-chrome cap.
I hit mine with a wire wheel and gun bluing. Looks goofy, but it doesn't leak.
You might need to use some 150-240 grit sandpaper to rough-up the sealing surface on the inside of the chrome plated cap (and M/C sealing surface, if chrome). Also, make sure the bales hold the top down tightly; you may have to bend them a bit. If the gasket is just thin neoprene, you may have to make or buy a better gasket.
