Gauge testing
After realizing how badly the engine wiring had been hacked and pieced together I ordered a new one. I have been going through everything on the cabin side and everything has appeared okay. I have all the gauge clusters out and want to know if I can test them out of the car. Thanks

what year is it?. Go to Willcox site and look under the tech info on gauges, he has a way to test all of them

Do you just want to know that they work, or are you wanting to 'calibrate' them to be accurate? The intent by Chevy Engineering was that the gauges should be used to detect 'normal' operation and also identify malfunctions of the operating systems. There was NEVER any intent to make them more that 'adequate' in terms of ACCURACY.
Willcox has some good videos that will get you familiar with how the gauges work and how to test proper function. I recommend that you leave it at that.
