First drive
I am hoping that the parts I need will be here shortly. I will try to seat the rings as soon as the parts get here. I appreciate all the information you have made available to me. Since I need vacuum for my brakes to work properly can you advise on what Has to be hooked up for first drive. Thanks

PCV and brakes. Vacuum for the brakes comes off at the rear center of the carb. PCV can come from a fitting in the manifold, usually over the runner for 6-8 cylinders. Some have a nipple on the front of the carb.

Thanks. Does it matter if you’re pulling vacuum off the carburetor or from the manifold? Just curious thinking ahead. I also need to know about the vacuum line to the transmission as to what it does (down shifts?) and where to pull vacuum from.
