1981 vette distributor
I dont think I need to replace my whole dist. but would like to rebuild it, and make the cap red it,s a delco remy so the question where can i buy an exact fit parts kit to do this.

Assuming you do not have an actual ECM-controlled '81 distributor, you can use this:

You don't need a "Corvette-only" shop. There is nothing special about the Corvette HEI - it's a plain ol' Chevy distributor. It's so common and simple that the VW Forum can, in fact, give you the correct advice about it...
