first up - i know next to nothing on wheel sizing, and the more i read the more confused im getting. i currently have the stock 15x8 rallys with 235/60r15s up front, and 275/60/15s. i had to move the parking brake tabs to get it to clear. ive also lowered the car a couple of inches.
im looking at a set of TT2s right now, 17 x 8s off a 3rd gen camaro, running the chevy 5 x 4.75 pattern. 2 wheels are 17 x 8 with 4" backspacing. the others are 17 x 8 with 4.5s.
would these fit without issue? and would that be a good backspacing to run?
the guys asking $600 for them, 2 piece polished, forged VN505s
Here. Use this to compare desired tire sizes. It's gives you specs and an image of relative sizes. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
also look at the "more tire size tools" at the top for offset calculators and more images.

This should be a simple thing to compare.
Factory wheels are usually 15x8 with 4" BS so a 17x8 with 4" BS will fit exactly the same.
Now for the wheel that is 4.5" BS, just measure 1/2 inward everywhere to see what it may hit. Which I am guessing it will hit nothing,
Now I have 18x9.5" wheels with 4.75" BS front and rear, the car is a 78 with a stock setup or a stock VB&P street and slalom kit with no issues. But if you are considering a wheel change spend the time to get the look you want.
15x8 wheel vs a 17x8 wheel is basically the same width tire, usually on a 8" wheel 245 / 255 is the widest recommended.

8 inches is really narrow and you are limited on tire widths. You need to look into the recommended rim width for the tire size. But 4.5 rear bs is good as 4 inch on the front.
On a '69 ragtop I had 15 years ago, I ran 17x8F (4" BS) and 17x9.5R (4.75"BS). 245/45F tires, 285/40R tires...no clearance issues. I did run off-set trailing arms, but only because the originals needed work... I'm not sure I needed to do that to get those wheels to fit.
I'm going to be doing something similar on this '71 I bought recently with stock trailing arms, e-brake cable bracket relocated to top of trailing arm.
Here is a pic of the '69
