Default Head I.D. Question

Now that I have the Vette running and driving – I went and bought another project – 72 Nova – Driver quality paint and just a motor and trans in the car. My question - it is a small block 400 and I can’t seem to track down what the heads are. Hope someone can help.

Thanks,

Mike

WP ... Sportsman II
Get ALL your numbers together and call WP ... they can tell you for sure and maybe chamber size too.

I bought a 377 (400 w/ 350 crank) race motor w/ Sport2s ... I called WP and they helped fully ID 'em.

Those were good heads back then and they still are.

From what I can see, I believe they are Sportsman II's as well. The exhuast port looks too big to be an S/R Torquer and these appear to be pre-2005.
I used to work there for a spell A quick search found this picture above.
These heads were a staple in the Hot Rod community for years.......not state of the art but work very well and are bulletproof.

My garage is done up with a lot of Morrison/Doors stuff.......and I have over 200 LP's and a turntable

As before, above confirms
/ link # 1 (OP's pic of his head)

/ link # 2 ... Seems I-037 ... IS a Sportsman II w/ 200cc intake port runner ... BUT ... w/ EITHER 50cc OR 64cc OR 72cc chamber ...
... if you can resolve the Part Number, you might also ID chamber etc using ID pdf With Catalog link # 3.

/ link # 3 ... Seems they're still available and USA made; which surprises me, but not nearly so much as the unarmed one's concurrence.

As before, call WP (maybe it's PBM these days) & perhaps they can further ID chamber etc.

Nothing like a little rock and roll while spinning wenches. Yes they are square port exhaust. Do they make square port headers?
