Reproduction Speedometer
Hi guys,
it all startet with my odometer quit working on my 1970. My plan was to rebuild my original speedo as much as possible to get it work properly. I studied mechanical engineering and have lots of experience so I thought that's possible to do it by my own. BUT, I live in Germany and its nearly impossible to get all the neccesary parts for the rebuild. Than I saw this reproduction speedometer on Zip Corvette and I thought that could be a good compromise. Does anybody know those speedos? Can you recommend them?

Zip is a well known supplier of aftermarket parts but cant give you any specifics on the speedometer they sell

My new speedometer that I purchased works well now. At first it was noisy, so I took it apart and greased all the dry shafts/bushings. Either it got missed getting greased when made or they were very stingy with the grease.
I have not installed my repaired original yet, maybe this Spring.
