Default OEM Style Headlamp Source?

Background: i seem to have a mixture of old headlamps. All sealed beams from GE, Westinghouse, Unknown (Guide). The drivers side high / low went out and i purchased 4 new Sylvania sealed beam halogens. Well, come to find out i have the high beam lights on flicker. Research shows me it’s the thermal fuse in the light switch breaking and resetting because the new sealed halogens are drawing more current than the oem sealed beams. I see the fixes out there but i dont like any of them. I have all brand new wiring harnesses and don’t want to splice anything into them. I will return the Sylvanias and try to find regular sealed beam lights. I guess my question is does anyone know a source for oem type sealed beams (non halogen)?

I replaced all mine with Eiko brand from O'Reillys. In stock and cheap. My fiber optics work great with them too!

Are the halogens you installed the same wattage as the incandescent, 55 and 60?

I just went into O'Reilly's and asked for low beams and high beams for a 1969 Corvette. If they work on mine they will work on yours. I imagine they are halogen. That number seems about right to my recollection.
I studied the original style with the nipples for the fiber optics for a bunch of money plus shipping plus the wait. (The bulbs looked like the original style. They worked when I bought the vette and two burned out after I owned the car for a week! Of course. Water pump shortly followed, as did fuel gauge. Nothing since for years!.
Since they are a pain in the *** to change I changed them all.

unless the car is being judged for originality, perhaps the newer LED lamps may be more practical: more light and perhaps less current draw.

Well I crawled under the vette and checked the bulbs. Low beams are Eiko H5001, site says 50 watts. High beams Eiko H5006, site says 35 watts. I am quite satisfied with them and I have to look out for deer and other critters where I live.
