Dyno or Test stand

My biggest problem here and in San Antonio is that I do not need to know how much you think you know.......just do it the way I want, but that either falls on deaf ears or plain just doesn't get done at all.......11 years here and half of the stuff I have machined has to go back. I have kicked two machinists to the curb already. I have a good guy in Universal City but he is more of an OEM guy and doesn't have a Serdi. Need a race engine shop......TRE is out about 3 hours away. Who is your buddy and who does he use? I don't mind Austin......you just have to leave and get there at the right time.

The biggest advantage then on a street car is getting the timing dialed in, and the carb tuning all dialed in, before it goes into the car. Leaks checked for too.
This is a bigger deal on a C3 vs other cars for three reasons:
- The easiest way to put in a BB in is when the body is off. What if you find an oil or gas leak after the whole car is together? A BB is very tight under the hood.
- The cleanest way to paint the car is with the body off.
- You save a lot of time not having to lean over a 12 inch wide freshly painted fender with a running engine trying to tune it it in the car. With the engine running it is difficult to be as slow and careful as you normally would around fresh paint.
