Pcv works best with intake vent on passenger side and Pcv valve on the drivers side due to crank rotation.

I was in a similar conversation three years ago here on CF. Alan71 didn't think there was any evidence that it matters which side you have the valve on. Maybe you have seen something that I haven't seen? Here's the old thread I'm talking about: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lve-cover.html

I had a catch can on my boosted 2010 LS3 motor. It worked well to remove oil from the PCV system before it ended up in the intake manifold which is obviously a plus BUT... the PCV valve attached to the top of the can rattled or gurgled so much at idle that it sounded like someone was shaking a bag of walnuts under the hood. Got tired of dealing with that so off it came. They do cost a lot so I am not in a hurry to try another one right now. That said, I am a believer in them

GM equipped some newer HP cars with catch cans so they do believe they are a good idea but a retrofit of that setup is expensive on a car not so equipped from the factory.
