69 wiper arm parking
No matter what I do the arms just wont park right and Ive done the wilcox wiper adjustment Under the stop and still can see how these arms would ever park after they cycle.
I am at the full extent of the wiper arms adjustments and once the arms cycle they wont park back to where they were when adjusted and they havent slipped. Ive made sure that the brass bushing are tight no movment up down left right by off setting the busings so the ball is centered between them.
Does anyone have a measurement on the wiper motor drive arm for the ball stud to bolt hole center or dimensions on it of any kind? I know GM used these parking wiper motors on alot of cars and believe the only diff is that the 69 had the interlock provision to prevent motor from running unitl door is open. But maybe the driver arm has a different dimensions and I got a similar one but not a vettte one? Or my transmission arms are bent wrong.
Also, I seem to notice a wobble at the driver arm transmission when the parking is occurring.. maybe theres a busing in there or something is worn in the wiper motor transmission for the parking. I just dont have experience enough to know what to look for inside the motor transmission. Im always willing to pull things apart just need to know what to look for .. maybe wilcox has an example of a worn wiper transmission and wobble that could be attributing to my parking issue?

So, I just used my Dremel to make slotted holes out of the holes already in the mount so that the switch head was a bit higher. About 1/8" elongation was all mine needed. It has worked fine, ever since.

You wouldn’t happen to have any pictures of what your describing would you?
im willing to try anything ... mixture of old parts and possibly poor made re-po parts is always in the back of my mind on this thing.
That's the best I can do, I think.....
i miss understood... I thought you meant something inside the wiper motor. But this makes sense too. I’ll remove the the vacuum
safety switch and see if I can get parked any better.
- I have a "K" stamped driver arm which appears to be for 68-72 so thats good.
- My transmission are LH 4918604 and RH 4918596 these do NOT appear to be for 68-72 I don't care about "correct" I guess i need to know is if they work correct, I dont know if the dimensions are proper for a wiper door car? (P/N's 4918792 (LH Transmission), 4919036 (RH Transmission appear to be correct for 68-72)
