Oil Dipstick replacement issues
Hey all, i'm a brand spanking new owner of a 1981 corvette and one of the first and easiest (or so I thought) easiest part to replace wold be my oil dipstick. Mine snapped at the weld as it was coming out, luckily I was able to get the rest of it out. But I'm unable to find any OEM or aftermarket replacement dipsticks online except for the crappy spectre performance dipsticks that don't fit anyways (I tried). Does anyone know of where I could get an OEM or aftermarket dipstick that would fit?
-Regards

Give your local Chevy dealer parts dept. a call. I believe they're still available.

If you've got the broken stick. Measure it from tip to where it caps on the tube. Get one the same length.
In fact, just take the pieces with you.

get a good OE stick from a pickup at junkyard ... cut & mark to match your broken one.

j Easiest, most effective, and least costly way to go. And you end up with a real GM part....

My crate engine came with one. So, they still have them. As for part#, I have no clue.
