Im going to bypass the cruise on my 81 and the stock cable is too short by about 4". will a cable from a different year work or will I have to have one made?

GM speedo cable (for that era) were all designed the same, but with different lengths. Find one that is long enough to do the job.....or fix the cruise control head.
