found that its leaking from another spot too. So i’ll be calling them. Disappointed. Maybe aluminum isnt the way to go for a daily driver. I talked to my buddy and he said the way most cheaper aluminum rads are made causes them to become weaker with every heat cycle. Might go brass 3 row.
i think its tough to beat aluminum for efficiency..just got to get one that is good quality, of course i lean non chinesium..again i found weights interesting among lines and brands…
got any pics of leaky areas?

Bought a new 3-core Champion for my 71 project (w/air and auto). Like others have said, didn't fit the saddle mounts, and even had to cut and reweld the driver side top saddle mount to give it needed space. Also, had to clearance the driver side 12" fan as it didn't fit against the VBP upper A arm bolt section using their shroud. But that is reasonable aftermarket-part fiddling.

The worse part was the bottom outlet didn't fit against the 1" sway bar. The Dewitt's radiator for my application has a crease in the outlet tube, but Champion does not. Called them and they were no help on the phone. Also, wouldn't return it without a 20% restocking fee even though it hadn't been mounted. Good thing I have a friend who knows how to anneal aluminum and we bent our own clearance, but without his help, would've been up a creek. Hope I don't have the same experience you are having after a year.

Strange how some folks don't have any issues with the Champion and others do.

Put that one in my '78 few years ago. Same reason, stock one started leaking so far no issues. This year has been a test , here in the Northeast with the high temps. Keeping thing cool.......

You probably just got a bum one thats all. Replaced my 4 row in my A body with a Dewitts, C4s etc the difference is noticeable.
Cools down so much quicker esp when moving than the old one (and it was just built). Cant have enough cooling system, nothing worse than gauge watching.

Yup... 8 years so far for me and when I just pulled it to install electric fans I did a thorough inspection and it looks great inside and out still. To be fair I only put about 7300 miles on it so far.
