I'm refurbishing my headlight adjusters. The plastic part in the picture has a T part and a curled part. On my 1968 there isn't the curled part. I can see that this curled thing rides between the bucket and the headlight mount. Should this be part of the 1968 adjuster or is it one of those things the 1968 doesn't have?

And on the mid-america sight it has them with the hook but clearly says Note: 1968-1982 use requires removal of the hook shaped portion of the nylon bracket.
