Default Reproduction alternator/power steering brackets

Hey fellas....long story short, Ive got a broken lower power steering pump bracket on the 454 in my 74. I may also be looking to replace the adjuster bracket for the ps and alt, as Im missing the rearward bolt hole that goes to the exhaust manifold/header.

Are the reproductions of these parts good, or has anyone had more headaches with these pieces not lining up properly etc?

Thanks for any input.

On my 73 SB 350 I used the Paragon aftermarket power steering bracket set (sold as a kit). I had no problem with them. Lined up perfectly. Note: the SB uses a different bracket set than the BB. Just giving you my experience with my situation. Good luck, Russ

Paragon has the right parts and they fit. I bought a few of their brackets when I was putting a 427 in my 72. The fit was perfect. Everything lined up.

Thanks that’s the kind of info I was looking for. As much as I’d rather have original brackets, since they should fit properly, at least I don’t have to scour eBay searching for parts they have probably been repaired or crazy expensive NOS stuff.

If you have a correct stock bracket that is broken, you can weld it up or replace it. In general, buying replacement parts is a 'crapshoot': it might LOOK like stock...it might not; it might WORK like stock...it might not. I will ALWAYS save an original part, if I can.

in this case, the lower is probably repairable, but based on where it’s broken, a repair might interfere with the way the pump fits in the cradle. The other piece, well it needs to be replaced, but your sentiments are exactly what leave me hesitant about Repro bracketry

Just passing what I believe is a 'useful' strategy..
