Has anyone else noticed these ? It's caught my eye since the 1st time I saw it in Jegs Mag (maybe love at 1st sight  ). Anyways, I'm seriously considering this for a spring install. Any thoughts ?
Hood clearance certainly isn't a problem for me :D , seeing over it though can is another story  . I'm actually hoping that I may be able to go to a lower profile hood with the StealthRam in place ;) .
I haven't looked into the stealth ram seriously since that's so far down the road for me, but it looks like one of the best aftermarket packages you can buy. If you do go for it, take a baseline height on stock engine (air cleaner) and determine how much higher the new unit is etc. so others can decide if it will fit under their respective hoods.
74Roadster- That's a great idea, I'll try to remember that when it arrives ;) .
GDH- After farting around with a carb for 4 years & still not completely happy, I feel this is the only way for me to go :chevy .
Zwede- that looks like a great site :yesnod: , thanks a lot, I can see me speending some time there :D .
Thanks Pat. The instant I saw the pic of this setup I knew it belonged under my hood  . I wanted to get the Accel SuperRam setup, but could never justify the tag on it. The Stealth looks like a bargain next to the SuperRam :) .
That StealthRam MPFI System is sweet looking! It looks like it would be able to generate a lot of torque for you. Has anyone done any dyno testing with it?
I am thinking about going to the Edelbrock PERFORMER EFI sytem for two reasons. THe Edelbrock Performer RPM system has a Victor style intake where as the PERFORMER intake has longer runners and probably geared more towards torque then HP. Also, the Edelbrock systems don't require a laptop! That is a major plus in my book.
Looks somewhat like the ACCEL BBC setup. The price seems comprable to the Lingenfelter/ACCEL setup. Although for that system you need to buy the software separately...
Opps... Sorry looked again and the ACCEL Superram was $700 more...
I'm installing the Accel Superam in my 82' Vette (383 c.i.). Should be cranked within a couple weeks. Course, I said that a couple weeks ago. Darn finals!! :nopity
Only thing I'm really worried about is how difficult it will be to set the sequential fuel injection.
69stingray- yes, as a matter of fact like 74roadster stated, Hotrod just did a dyno on a sbc to compare it against a carb :yesnod: . I got my copy in the mail last Saturday :D .
GroovyJay, I'm hoping your right. After I lay down the $$$ for this, I'm hoping it's everything I expect ;) . This will also open the door for a supercharger down the road  .
75BBC - The Accel Superram has been the efi unit I have liked to have for a loooong time. I just can't spend $3000+ on it  .
SuprJames- be sure to update us on your results :yesnod: . I can imagine you'll be in for quite a ride with that setup :D !
Re: New Holley Stealth Ram EFI..... (Cookwithvette)
I got the manifold an fuel rails a couple of months ago, this is my new project. I plan on using the Fuel Air Spark Technologies ECU with the wide band O2 sensor.
I measured the manofold height, it is 10 inches tall.
