Ok, this might qualify for the dumbest question on the forum, but I need to ask anyway... How do I install this retainer clip/pin in the clutch arm assy?
Hello Mpls funk. Not a dumb question at all. When I came across these I also had the same question. I was frustrated and just used a Cotter pin. Simpler and there still in. I still don't know what the difference is, perhaps I should of tried a bit more and used the proper pin. Take care.

It will have pressure on it like it's a spring. I angle the straight part towards the hole to get it started the push it flat against the rod . Then push it in. It's a PITA but they dont fall out.
you may need a pair of pliers to hold it flat to line it up. Good luck

Thanks guys - I was able to get it in thanks to the tip given. But I agree, I was minutes away from just finding a cotter pin. It's not clear to me why they came up with something like this when it would seem a regular cotter pin would work fine? Oh well. It's in now. Thanks all!
