Use the EOIC method if youre unsure its foolproof.
Tried the 'double check hyd cam running, cant say it didnt work but what a mess.
Once set shouldnt need resetting for the life of the car.
I see guys talk about how they did that with a solid lifter cam, must have calibrated ears. Or super quick hands. I did watch one guy try it and attempt to jam a feeler gauge in there, beer thirty in the shop many yrs ago. lol
