2022 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Default Firewall Opening

Is the opening in the firewall of our C3 Corvettes the same dimensions for both Airconditioned and Non-AC cars? If I do find a 68 or 69 convertible project that was originally andAC equipped car, I will be converting it to NON-AC as I have no interest in all the plumbing, condenser, and complexity of an AC system in a convertible driven in Pennsylvania. So my hope is Chevrolet designed the opening to be the same size. What you say?

They make an AC delete panel-but shouldn't be that tough to modify/fill using and heater box.

BTW I have a heaterbox laying around if interested-

No. The hole was cut larger for factory AC cars. The AIM has a page showing how to cut the bigger opening.
