2017 LT1 clutch setup
I own a 1978 'Vette.
I recently acquired a 2017 LT1 with 8 bolt flywheel and dowel hole , and need to set up a clutch for it. I found a few on ebay, but I am not sure they will fit in an old school '621' bellhousing. ACS performance can make a conversion kit for it for around $750, with a lightweight steel flywheel.
I am wondering if anyone else has swapped an LT1 into their car , and what they may have done.
I am also wondering if the mid-90s Lt1 flywheel will fit , although it doesn't have the dowel hole ?
